Equine Rehabilitation at EVS
Equilibrium Veterinary Services offers Equine Rehabilitation at our Willow Hill Farm location, providing equipment and rehabilitation plans tailored to each horse. Our goal is to keep healthy horses conditioned properly, as well as to aid injured horses recover either post-injury or post-surgery. A good rehabilitation program will increase the quality of healing, decrease the likelihood of reinjury, and will shorten the healing time.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture can help treat or maintain comfort with a variety of conditions like tendon injuries, arthritis, behavioral issues, neurologic conditions, muscle soreness, and more. It can involve a variety of techniques, such as dry needle, aquapuncture (B12 or Arnica injections), electro-acupuncture, or acupressure.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF)
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy utilizes pulsing magnetic fields to initiate normal biological cellular reactions that result in improved circulation and provide pain relief. EVS utilizes the Respond Systems BioPulse Blanket with additional attachments to target specific problem areas, such as the neck, hocks, and limbs. The Respond Systems Iron Foot pad is also available for foot and lower limb treatments.

Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy stimulates new cell growth, can aid in bone remodeling, and improves circulation which promotes healing. The treatment also results in temporary pain relief.

Therapeutic Shoeing
EVS works closely with Silent W Horseshoeing to provide effective therapeutic and corrective shoeing or trimming for a variety of cases, and will consult with your farrier prior to sending your horse home to aid in the transition between farriers. We will also work with your regular farrier if preferred.

Game Ready- Equine Cold Therapy
The Game Ready™ unit combines cold and compression therapy in one system to reduce muscle spasms and pain, decrease swelling, reduce bleeding and tissue damaging enzymes. Cold therapy is recommended during the first 3-7 days after an injury or surgery, or if active swelling is present.

Turnout
The rehabilitation center has a variety of turnout options available, including a stall with an attached medical paddock, a round pen, and various sized paddocks with lush grass.
Far-Infrared Radiation
We use Back on Track® products on almost all patients to assist with pain reduction, increase circulation, and reduce muscle tension and inflammation. Back on Track® products utilize Far Infrared Radiation with ceramic particles that radiate energy back to the body causing a thermal effect that has been proven to aid in healing.
